Yobe relaxes curfew across the state



Yobe state government has reviewed time for the restriction of movement across the state.

A statement signed by Abdullahi Bego, the Director General Media to Gov. Mai Mala Buni said the decision is as a result of the Tuesday security meeting chaired by the governor.

according to the statement,  the curfew has been reviewed from 11pm to 6am as against the earlier 10pm to 6am.

The State added that the state government will continue to work closely with security agencies  for the protection of lives and property.

The three paragraphs  Statement  reads:


"Following the State Security Council meeting that His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni chaired last Tuesday, the governor has approved that the state-wide curfew which normally begins from 10.00pm to 6.00am daily be relaxed.

"Consequently, the curfew will now begin from 11.00pm to 6.00am daily throughout the state. 

"The Yobe State Government will continue to work closely with the security agencies in the state to ensure public safety and the security of life and property". 

ImpactOnline reports that the state has been on curfey for more than six years now following the Boko Haram activities.
