The social media in Yobe State has gone viral with the youths celebrating the appointment of one of their own, Dr. Mohammed Goje as the new Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency SEMA.
Dr. Goje's appointment which is conveyed in a statement yesterday by signed by the Director Press to SSG Yobe State, Shauibu Abdullahi said the appointment takes immediate effect.
The Statement reads: "The Executive Governor of Yobe State Alh. Mai Mala Buni has approved the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Goje as the New Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
"Until his appointment Dr Mohammed Goje was the state Humanitarian/Vaccine Analyst with Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) supporting Bill and Melinda Gates (BMGF)tripartite Grant in Yobe state.
"The appointment takes immediate effect please".
Just few hours after his appointment was released, Yobe youth took to their social media handles congratulating the young veterinary Doctor who has now carved a niche in humanitarian sector with the Mai Goje Foundation which has empowered thousands of Displaced indigent Yobeans as well as provided scholarship to students both at the secondary and tertiary level.
One of the message sent to Dr. Goje by one of his contemporary, Alfaruk CH was beyond mere flattery and cheap praise-singing but a challenge for Dr. Goje to justify his worth for the appointment which he(Alfaruk) believes Goje has what it takes to execute it effectively.
Faruk concluded by reminding Dr. Goje that he will only congratulate him after he has started excelling on his new job which he described as " a challenging responsibility to a deserving personality".

"Dr. Mohammed Goje you have no reason to fail. You have all resources at your disposal to deliver on your mandate. You have experience in the field, you have friends and associates in the international humanitarian and development circle. You came from Gujba one of the hostile environments that needs not only SEMA, NEMA or NEDCOM but all sorts of support to be fully rehabilitated. Yaa Allah ga bawanka nan ka taimakeshi wajen sauke nauyin al'umma.
"Dr. Goje, I don't have to remind you that every single person in need
of SEMA intervention in Yobe (irrespective of tribe or religion) would
look up to you. You'll then be accountable here in this world and
hereafter. Please justify the confidence reposed in you.
