Yobe immediate past deputy Governor makes Buhari's ministerial list

Engr. Abubakar Aliyu, minister nominee, Yobe State

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Yobe State Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu has been nominated as minister by President Mohammadu Buhari to represent Yobe at the Federal Executive Council.

The 43 man list submitted to the senate today has Engr. Abubakar D. Aliyu occupying the 42 position in order of the list as  submitted by  Abba Kyari, the Chief of State to president Mohamadu Buhari to the Senate President, Dr. Ahmed Lawan.

The nomination of Engr. Aliyu did not come as a surprise to many but rather a reward for his loyalty and patience having been denied the ticket for Senate and House of Representatives in the 2019 general elections in the state.

ImpactOnlineNigeria observed that Engr. Abubakar  Aliyu despite his treatment by the party in the state continued to work for the victory of the party at the general elections and at no point displayed any impression of displeasure with his party.

A stalwart of the party in the state who spoke on the condition of anonymity said , "Jarma's display of loyalty to the party and his boss, Sen. Ibrahim Gaidam to  offer himself as a sacrificial lamb stabilized the politics in the state and therefore deserved to be compensated for his loyalty and patience and his commitment to the party".
