TRIBUTE: REMEMBERING ABUBAKAR MUHAMMAD MAILAFIYA; THE SHINING LIGHT OF MAILAFIYA FAMILY:

Late Abubakar Mohammad Mailafiya

One of the hardest truth of life is knowing people we love die, people we need die, people we don't know die, and eventually we'll die ourselves it is sad truth to realizes.

Today I pick up my pen to write about the unsung hero of our time and a legendary reference to our future generation; the late ABUBAKAR MUHAMMAD MAILAFIYA who passed on over a decade ago but he's always fresh in our thought and prayers.

Abubakar was a very unique person, he was a man with a real spirit who was always willing to assist people. He'll go to the extra mile to assist people even people unknown to him. I'm not sure that we have two (2) of his type in the whole of Mailafiya family, I say this because most people spend out of their abundance, some were even stingy with their abundance, but ABUBAKAR MAILAFIYA could go to borrow money to assist people even when he was on his bed. This is the one thing I still don't understand, he get himself neck on deep dept just because he wanted to assist people, he hated seeing people suffering.

All along I stood with him during the good, the bad and the ugly moments of his life. I stayed with him when he falls sick as a result of diabetes complication and was admitted at the university of Maiduguri teaching hospital (umth) throughout the time he spend in the hospital (6months). I sleep on the bare floor of the hospital all throughout the period doing all the errands for him hoping and praying that he get back to his feet once again.

As if he knows that he's going to leave the world he told me a lot of things that I don't even suppose to know at that time as if he was preparing me to take over from him as the Emirate Council Secretary which I eventually did after he passed on.

I believed that he was just sent to the world to fulfil a purpose which he did to the best of his ability and I think at the right time his creator ( Allah) called him. If he's to be assessed based on his tolerance, patient, generosity, relationship with people and above all God fearing instinct I think he scored A+.All I can say is that we're all imperfect. May Allah look the other way when it comes to his imperfections and look at the people he helped with his little resources, look at the people he rescued by investing on their medical and so on.

I raised my hand up in prayers that Almighty Allah will forgive his sins and shortcomings and reward him with the highest abode in jannatul firdausi Aameen thumma Aameen.

You'll always remained in my thought and prayers until eternity comes in sha'a Allah. I rest my case for today, till tomorrow in sha'a Allah.
