The Chairman, membership registration, revalidation and update for Yobe State Alhaji Ibrahim Dika Galadima has said the party has made provision for all disabled members for their smooth registration.
Galadima who spoke with newsmen in Damaturu at the training of trainers workshop for the forthcoming registration and revalidation exercise of their party also informed that all members of the APC will soon begin to pay dues for the party.
The trainers trainers workshop which was held at Summit Hotel Damaturu was declared opened by the State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana who stood in for Gov. Mai Mala Buni.
According to Galadima, any disabled person especially those deaf and dumb and the visually impaired are advised to bring to the registration point any of their trusted relative or his or her spouse who would assist such a person in the registration process.
Galadima noted that the party has brought enough registration materials that will cover all eleigible members of the party in the state that are willing to register as fresh members as well as those revalidating.
On the payment of dues by every member of the party, Galadima informed that the innovation is the brain-child of Gov. Mai Mala Buni who wants the party to become stronger.
“We have a great innovation that has been reintroduced by our great national care taker chairman, Gov. Mai Mala Buni which is the payment of dues by each member of the party every month. They party is going to start introducing that very soon,” he said.
Earlier at a courtesy call on the Yobe State deputy governor by the committee, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana told the committee that they should be prepared to register not more than five million members of the party in the state.
The deputy governor also insisted that there will be no registration by proxy by any member of the party .
“We expect every member of the party to come home from anywhere he is to his ward and do the registration of the revalidation. This exercise is very important to us because it is a sure way to get any position in the APC be it elective or appointment,” Gubana said.
