Sallah: Yobe Deputy Governor Request Prayers for Peaceful Power Transition

 Yobe State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana has called for prayers for the peaceful transition of power come May 29/05/2023. 

 Alhaji Gubana who spoke with journalists after performing his three Rakat Prayers to mark the Eid-El.Fitri celebration among hundred other faithful at the Central Mosque in Damaturu said the country at this stage need to be committed in the hands of God for a peaceful transition from Buhari to Tinubu administration. 

 “We are grateful to the Almighty Allah for seeing this day come to pass. I want to urge all the people of Yobe Sate and indeed all Nigerian to pray for a peaceful transition of power from Buhari to our President elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Alhaji Gubana said. 

 The Deputy Governor also admonished all Muslim faithful not to forget the lesson of the fastening period by continuing to be generous to one another and abstain from all kinds of vices that will hinder them from getting closer to their creator. 

 Earlier, the Chief Imam of Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre, Hustaz Hudu Mohammed who led the three Rakaat Prayers called on the congregation to continue to be God fearing by imbibing in them the lesson of the fasting. 

 The prayers were attended by other top Government officials in the state including members of the State Executive Council, the police commissioner and the State Director of Secret Services.
